Real estate in Oton, Iloilo

Oton is a coastal municipality about ten kilometres west of Iloilo City — close enough that the town proper is a fifteen to twenty minute drive. That proximity is the whole story of how it has grown: the municipality's own development plan attributes its rate of urbanisation to residential subdivisions drawing people out of the city, and Oton is commonly described as Iloilo City's dormitory town. Its southern edge faces the Panay Gulf, so the boundary there is coastline rather than commercial strip.
