Privacy policy

This policy explains what HOMARO collects when you use this website, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to everyone who browses listings, submits an enquiry, or signs in as staff.

Who we are

This website is operated by TopHomes, trading as HOMARO, of 2nd floor, Ardelina Building, Jalandoni St, Iloilo City Proper, Iloilo City, 5000. For any question about this policy or about information we hold on you, write to homaroiloilo@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry about a property, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number and message.
  • A record that you consented to this collection, and the time you gave it.

If you sign in as staff, a session cookie keeps you signed in between requests; this cookie is not used to track visitors who are not staff.

Visits to the site are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. See “Who else sees it” below.

If you use the chat window on this website, we keep your questions and its answers, with an anonymous code made from your internet address so that one visitor cannot flood the chat. See “Who else sees it” below.

If you message our Facebook Page, we keep the messages in that chat and the ID Facebook gives you for our Page, so that we can answer you. See “Who else sees it” below.

Why

We use this information to answer your enquiry. We do not use it for anything beyond that purpose.

Consent

Submitting the enquiry form with the consent copy shown is how we record your consent under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). The timestamp of that consent is stored against your enquiry.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry itself is held on this business's own database and is not passed to any advertising network, analytics provider or other third party.

Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc., which also hosts this site. It does not use cookies. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, and your country, device type and browser, so that we can see which pages people read and how they found us. It does not record your name, contact details or anything you type, and it does not follow you to other websites. Vercel's use of this data is covered by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Messages you send to our Facebook Page are answered first by an automated assistant. To write each reply, the recent messages in your chat are sent to the Gemini API, provided by Google LLC, together with our public listing information. Google may use this content to improve its products, and people at Google may read it, so please do not send ID numbers, bank details or other sensitive information in Messenger. The assistant passes the chat to a person whenever you ask for one or it is unsure. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy, and Messenger itself by Meta's.

Questions typed into the chat window on this website are answered by an automated assistant. Each question and the recent messages in that chat are sent to the Gemini API, provided by Google LLC, together with our public listing information. Google may use this content to improve its products, and people at Google may read it, so please do not type ID numbers, bank details or other sensitive information into the chat. The assistant suggests Messenger, WhatsApp or the enquiry form when a person is needed.

There is no advertising tag connected to this site.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as it remains open, and for a further period afterwards in case you follow up or we need the record for our own accounts. We have not yet fixed an exact number of days for that further period; if you would like your enquiry removed sooner, write to homaroiloilo@gmail.com and we will action it.

Your rights under RA 10173

The Data Privacy Act of 2012 gives you the right to be informed about how your data is processed, to object to processing, to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased or blocked, to claim damages for a proven violation, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised; if we make a material change, we will update that date.
